No. Your camera frames, photos, and captions are processed and stored entirely on your device. The web app sends only an anonymized Google Analytics page-view event; the iOS app does not contact any server at all. See the privacy policy for the full data-handling details.
The web app ships three filters:
The iOS app adds two more filters — Gold 200 and Vérité 100 — ported from Adobe Camera Raw presets. Gold 200 is a warm, slightly underexposed look with a blue tone-curve lift; Vérité 100 is a low-saturation colour-negative feel.

Yes. On the web app, captured photos are saved to your local Pin Board (browser IndexedDB) and can be re-opened, captioned, and downloaded. On the iOS app, tap Save to Photos to write a copy to your Photos library.
Grainhaus works on any modern desktop browser that supports getUserMedia for webcam access — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Brave. The web app requires JavaScript and HTML5. On mobile, the camera flow works on iOS Safari and Android Chrome.
Yes. The web app and iOS app are part of the open retro_camera project on GitHub. The web app is the source of truth for the filter math, polaroid chrome, and audio cues; the iOS app mirrors those values downstream.
